I wonder if my old landlord is on here

I recently got in a pretty nasty email fight with my landlord lol. He told me my time was up and gave me an official government form to sign that said I had 2 months to leave.

After looking it up it turned out it was the wrong form, so no action could actually be taken. If he wanted to actually evict me, he had to give me one months free rent and a reason. If I could prove his reason was fake, he would owe me over $10,000.

He was just trying to scare us off without paying us, with a fancy form. When I told him this, he said he would only allow us to stay with a rent increase. That’s not within his rights as a landlord as he didnt follow the lenthly approval process, so I politely declined the rent increase. Now I get to stay and nothing has changed.

I 100% recommend knowing your rights to an obsessive degree if you’re renting. Landlords are lying scum and will use legal talk to scare or intimidate you. They don’t give a fuck about you.
